About the Liverpool Business and Property Court
The Business and Property Courts (or BPC) in Liverpool bring together the Chancery Division of the High Court, the Technology and Construction Court and the Circuit Commercial Courts.
The work of the Liverpool Business and Property Courts is divided and listed into the following courts or lists:
- the Business List
- the Circuit Commercial Court
- the Competition List
- the Insolvency and Companies List
- the Intellectual Property List
- the Property, Trusts and Probate List
- the Technology and Construction Court.
The work of the Business and Property Court in Liverpool is handled by the following Judges and staff
Judges
HHJ Neil Cadwallader, a specialist civil circuit judge who sits primarily in Liverpool as a High Court Judge in the BPC, or on business and property work in the County Court at Liverpool
HHJ Stephen Davies QC, a specialist civil circuit judge who sits primarily in Manchester as a High Court Judge in the BPC, or on business and property work in the County Court, and sits in Liverpool as required
His Honour Judge David Hodge QC, a specialist civil circuit judge who sits primarily in Manchester as a High Court Judge in the BPC, or on business and property work in the County Court, and sits in Liverpool as required
His Honour Judge Graham Wood QC is the Designated Civil Judge for Cheshire and Merseyside, who also sits in Liverpool as a High Court Judge in the BPC when required
