Committal for failure to provide information about net proceeds of sale of a property
A recent case in the Business and Property Courts found a defendant guilty of contempt for his failure to disclose the whereabouts of one half of the net proceeds of sale of a property, despite having been ordered to do so by the court.
He was sentenced to two months in prison, suspended for one month to give him a chance to comply with the original order.
